Pictures finally!

It's really sad that we still have no computer at home. I mean are we the only ones on this planet that doesn't have one at home?! Geez!!

Anyway! I've finally gotten some pictures to put up!

So this is when Audrey got to dance at the football game for the first time. Can you say "Diva"?! I was sooooo nervous for her, and she was shaking her little butt so hard the whole time!! Loved every minute of it! And of course that made her super-star status go up that much more!

Now there's halloween....I know one day Anna Leigh will not be as tickled by this as we are! hehehe.....

But isn't it the most hilarious thing you've ever seen?! TOO funny!! And she didn't mind it one bit! I think it kept her warm and entertained!

Gotta love when all the cousins get together and we try to get a group pic! YEAH RIGHT!! Hilarious!

And finally....LITTLE MAN TURNED 3!! (Or "shree" as he says)

ALL he's talked about regarding his third birthday is he wanted a "big truck mud cake"...literally ALL he's talk about! So by God that baby was gonna get him one! Like an idiot, I took on the task myself thinking this will be a GREAT idea! Surely I can do that!! But didn't think about the amount of stress over what kind of icing tip to make grass on a cake (is it really that necessary to have such a variety of icing tips?!) Then, the idea of trying to make this cake with two nosy kids trying to help me, and one that just wants to put her little busy hands in it. WHAT WAS I THINKING?!?! Next year...no party, no nothing!! Just a store bought cake and you can come over to our dirty nasty house if you want to!

BUT...it did get done, and turned out a success! The only thing I was disappointed about was that I wasn't able to eat on it as long as I'd hoped because it was all gone!

It turned out to be a really good birthday for him, which is all I could have asked for. He got so many good toys! Which leads me to wonder, Why do we buy our kids these toys that are so annoying and make so much racket?! I mean it drives me nuts! But oh well, whatever to make them happy!

Thank you Braden for helping Brooks open the presents...we'd all still be there waiting if it weren't for you! lol

Brooks, Kaleb, and Kayleigh playing! They all seemed to have a ball! And Brooks passed out after about two minutes in the car on the way home! Success!!

That baby finally got him a big green tractor!!! Talk about proud! At night he has to go to the back door and look out to make sure it's still there!! Love that little man! Thanks everyone who made his third birthday super special! I love our family and friends!!

I hope everyone is having a great holiday season!!!

Another classic moment....

I find myself lately really hoping that one day Audrey will have a daughter that acts JUST LIKE HER!!!

The other night while she and Brooks were in the tub, I of course was fussing at Brooks to stop splashing. I remembered on one of the Cosby Shows where he told his kids "I brought you into this world, and I will take you out!" So this made me tell Brooks "I got you out of my belly, I'll put you back in there if you don't mind me!"

I know that was wrong, but it immediately worked!! Only until Audrey put her little remarks in..... "Momma, you've had like a ton of people in your belly."

Don't know what to say to that one...... except that I long for the day she gets her payback!

I am trying to think of what all has been going on with us lately, and for some odd reason I can't come up with much! That doesn't mean we haven't been busy or crazy, I just can't seem to see what all we have done!

I have started a new job, which has been heaven compared to the past stress! I am sooo very grateful for a full time clinic job, and knowing that I will no longer have to take call or work holidays or weekends. We prayed and prayed for doors to open, and it finally did! We were soooo happy! So needless to say, I don't care if my tongue is dragging by the end of the day, I'm still happy to have my job!

Thanks to my wonderful, sweet, loving husband, we have spent the last weekend or two trying to get the kids rooms fixed. Which was all his bright idea in the first place. Why oh why would you ask your kids if they want to repaint their rooms?! Do you REALLY think they'll say no?! And...why would you let them pick a color out?! What was wrong with what we had?! And last but not least, WHY would you ask them if they want to trade rooms?! Have you lost your mind?!?! I think I was in the shower when all this conspired, because when I got out, everyone was all excited about the "changes" that were about to take place! I should have grabbed my keys and went MIA!!

So now we have a glowing purple room. Literally. If anyone near our house looks outside at night and sees a purple tinted hue coming from a window...that'd be Audrey and Anna Leighs room! And that would be Greg's idea behind that glow.....
Brooks' room is a much needed improvement, I have to say. We covered the lime green (of Audrey's OLD room) with a pretty soft blue, that should last for many years without getting tired of it. Unless of course Greg has another bored weekend and puts horrible ideas in their heads!

But now that it's all said and done, I am glad that we did it. It looks so much better, and it gave us a chance to go through their toys and get rid of them!

Which means garage sale.....super early in the morning, when it's cold....plus the added meltdowns of the kids when they see their toys being taken away........

I love you Greg!!!

And if you ever do that again you will be a single dad!!! hahahahahahha

Life Lately

Lately our life has seemed to be normal...normal as in what we have adjusted to without any additional crazyiness going on! Normal days going to school, daycare, work, home, cooking, cleaning, bathing, playing, fussing, battling over brushing teeth and brushing hair, who's touching who in the car, who's being mean to who, etc........

Friday marks a whole new "first" for Audrey...she will be dancing at the Germantown High School football game! Not by herself, but with about 100 other excited little prissy girls! Of course, we can't get ANY information out of her, for she has become way too cool now to answer our "petty" questions! Too cool to practice her dance for us, and WAY to cool to let her pesty little brother play with her, since she is a CHEERLEADER now! We have even informed her that there are such things as boy cheerleaders, like at colleges, but that only makes her curl her lip and tell Brooks "well this is only GIRL cheerleaders". Lord help us!!! All he wants to do is whatever she does!

Brooks is testing the potty training thing. Some times he'll be real eager to sit on his potty, some times, not so much! But hey, every little step counts!! One day, just one day, maybe we can be done with pull ups all together!! Nothing grosser than to pull the back of the pull up out to check it only to realize it was seriously dirty, AND you just stuck your finger in it! OH the joys of motherhood! I don't know how I haven't gagged more than I have in the last 5 years!

Little Anna Leigh is melting our hearts more and more every day. There is nothing better in this world than to look at her and her whole face just lights up!! Or to see her look at Audrey and Brooks and her little face grin so big! She is in complete awe of them, I pray that she isn't as crazy as they are!! Maybe she'll grow up watching them and realize how insane they are, and not want to do that! But if not, oh well. That will definitly make for an interesting future in our house!

Audrey has become such the grown up lately. Duke threw up last night after devouring a huge bone, which I'll never understand why dogs do that?! Not to mention, how hard is it to move over two inches and throw up on the concrete floor, rather than stand there on the carpet and do it?!! That dog is gonna be the death of me!! ANYWAY, once she realized what he did, (it was only in the doorway into her room) she immediately began to try to comfort him, leading him to his water bowl, trying to make him eat MORE dogfood! It was sweet though, I overheard her telling him "it's okay Duke, just drink a little water...it'll help you feel better since you got sick." What a little mother hen! The other night she actually asked me to rock her in the chair, something I haven't done since she was probably a year old. Of course I dropped EVERYTHING I was doing to jump in that chair and get to rocking! Obviously she has grown since the last time, and she told me "I just can't fit in your arms anymore!" I quickly told her "Baby, God makes mommies' arms to ALWAYS be big enough to rock their babies, no matter if they are old or little bitty babies." I swear I don't care if I'm 95 years old, if any of my babies ever want me to rock them, I will MAKE it happen!!

Well well well.....

We have survived! SOOOOO much has happened in the last few months that it seems to all be one big blur! And reading my last post gives me anxiety all over again! Geez I was stressed! Poor Greg, I think I see a little bit of what he was having to put up with on a daily basis! So sorry Greg!

Audrey's party was a huge success...IF you define "success" as totally stressed out and needing at least 3 days to recover from! It turned out to be a beautiful day, all of her little friends came and had a blast, and the cake turned out very pretty...small, but pretty! AND...no one got hurt! Which was a blessing considering the humongous water slide we had and the amount of excited kids that were there!

Here are some pics from her party:

On to Anna Leigh...I don't think I quit stressing out over things with her until they gave me that wonderful medicine after delivering her! That is just rediculous!

As time was soon approaching, I was able to convince my Dr to schedule her on Friday, June 3rd (which was also my 30th birthday) instead of waiting until the following Tuesday. I just KNEW there was no way I was gonna make it that far! And being so OCD and needing to plan everything, I just had to have my way! Which had me feeling super guilty the closer it got. I just knew that something was gonna be wrong for me being selfish and wanting to rush her delivery. But once we got to the hospital and all hooked up, it showed that I was having some serious contractions, which I had been doing since the day before and didn't know it! So I asked the nurse, "is that normal?" only to be told, "yep...you're in labor!" So hot dog...I didn't feel so guilty anymore!! That sweet little baby was meant to come on my birthday! What a gift!!

No, we don't have a dedicated "spot" for Anna Leigh at home, but she has made her little presence known! She just fits right in with our crazy little family and doesn't seem to mind a bit! I basically gave up on trying to prepare...as long as she had something to wear, a bottle to drink out of, and a carseat, we were good!!

Audrey and Brooks are totally smitten by her! Brooks has been so amazing from the moment he laid eyes on her, just in awe at his baby sister. It took Audrey a little longer to warm up to her, but she is certainly a little mother hen now! Poor little Anna Leigh, she will be completely overwhelmed by them one day! I am SOOO thankful that she is as tolerable as she is!!

This was me and Audrey just before going into the hospital...

Audrey did NOT want to have anything to do with her at first!! I think she was so overwhelmed by everyone wanting to see her reaction that she just got upset!

But after six days...

And like I said, Brooks is in love with having a little sister!

So now my lap looks like this at any given time that I want to sit down on the couch!!

And I wouldn't want it any other way!!

Oh My.....

Time is running OUT!!!! I am getting extremely nervous about all the things we have to do, and do SOON!! Audrey's birthday is getting here quick, which makes me so emotional just thinking about my little baby turning 5! Literally, just this morning I was tearing up at remembering my first time I held her, and ALL the times of rocking her and staring at her, and singing to her....and to see her now with her long legs and long hair and freckles, it's just so bittersweet. ENOUGH....I'm about to do it again!

But really...we're having her little birthday party at our house, and having her little classmates over. First time ever...so much to prepare for! Arrange for Duke to be boarded so there is no moment of hysteria from another kid. Clean clean clean!! Get goodies, get cake, get balloons, get ANYTHING with Justin Beiber!! Then get Brooks some goodies, get sunscreen, get tables, get chairs, get get get! And when I'm not getting, I need to be cleaning! HELP!! Not to mention waddle around and "rest" when I can! Ha! Oh My! Why oh why do I do this?!

Then the new little one is getting here quick...I'm reminded about every 5 minutes when she kicks me! Which brings on a whole new level of anxiety!!! Where are we gonna put her?! HOW am I gonna get up every two hours?! What in the world is Brooks gonna do when his mommy is not available at his beck and call?! How are we gonna fit all the carseats in my car?! How am I gonna get the house clean before getting her home so that she doesn't suffer from severe allergies immediately?! WHERE are we gonna put her??!! OOHH MMYY GGOOSSHHH!!

I know that God doesn't give us more than we can bear, which reminds me again the He is getting the ultimate kick out of this!!

And I know it'll all work out, or at least that's what I keep repeating in my head!

Pictures Finally!

I have finally gotten my pictures off of my camera to use! I decided to put a few on here, even though some may be from a few months back.

I cannot help but to fall out laughing looking at these two pictures...Brooks' face says it all!
It's like I can hear him thinking "You better GET back!"

...then "Girrrl I AM NOT playing!"

Loved seeing these two "working hard." Brooks thinks everything his daddy does is the most amazing thing, and of course he has to do it too!

We took the kids to try to fish one day, but ended up just playing on a playground instead...not even a bite the entire time. Oh well, they had much more fun on the playground!

They both love to play outside, but it often turns into a mess. Brooks will usually have a melt down when his toys won't cooperate with him! And Audrey just stays in her own little world of fantasy and fairy tales!

Never a missed moment to strike a pose!

It's just about to happen...he's getting stuck while trying to climb out on the wrong side, you can see it all over his face!!

And here it is...the complete meltdown!! Stupid Car!!

And then...it all stops when daddy gets home! It always makes me smile when they take off running and screaming for him! It's like he literally gets attacked!! They truly have the sweetest daddy on the Earth!

Waiting....

Brooks instantly transforms into a tree frog...

.... Audrey getting her love too!
